Two moons on 27 August 2008

Greetings (Earthlings...lol),

27th August...

Planet Mars will be the brightest in the night sky in August.

It will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. This will happen on Aug. 27 when Mars comes within 34.65M miles of earth. Be Sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am . It will look like the earth has 2 moons.

The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

Share this with your friends as NO ONE ALIVE TODAY will ever see it again

Note: Apparently this is a hoax that has been going around the internet for some time now...(why?)
I fell for it, my friends very diplomatically brought it to my attention, and I do appreciate it.
Here is the link sent to me by Jim (hermitjim):

You know, blondie, I hope we didn't miss it...I just assumed (there's that word again...lol) that it meant tonight, Wednesday, the 27th and midnite-thirty.

It's cloudy here, so I may not be able to verify it either way...lol

Let me know if you stay up to see it and are successful. Take a picture!

Thanks for stopping in. You too, Jim!

Keep smilin',
Cat

Well, looks like I may be a year too late...lol. August 2007? Guess I fell for it, huh? Anyway, it seemed like an interesting thing to see, and I meant no harm to anyone...I am just gullible...lol

Thanks, Jim for the info. And for keeping my head out of the clouds...lol

Ya'll take care, and I'm still smiling, are you?
